At the United Way, the generosity of our community is the reason we are able to carry out our mission.
We are thankful for the donors that support us time and again, who believe in that mission and the impact it is having in Saint John, Kings and Charlotte.
We feel it is important to celebrate them and encourage them! After all, it is through their giving that lives are being changed and young futures are being developed. These are important impacts in our region; life-changing impacts that create stronger communities for all.
This month will feature two important events.
On Nov. 16, thanks to the generous sponsorship of TD, the 11 United Ways across Atlantic Canada will be hosting a half-hour online celebration to raise awareness of what we do and the impact that people can have as Leadership Donors.
With COVID-19 having turned our world upside down and inside out, never before has the support of United Way’s Leader Donors been so crucial.
So please join us at 3 p.m. that day to celebrate and learn about Leadership giving, hear firsthand from someone who has benefitted from United Way funding, and enjoy a musical performance by an Atlantic Canadian artist. It’s going to be an amazing celebration of support!
As a bonus, you could win a virtual door prize – a $1,000 donation to give to the United Way of your choice, provided by TD. You must be there to win!

And on Nov. 30, we will be celebrating Giving Tuesday, the world’s largest generosity movement.
Taking place each year after Black Friday & Cyber Monday, it’s a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. After 2 days that are good for the economy, we follow up with one day of good dedicated to the community.
Through our social media channels, we are encouraging people to #GIVEUNITED by donating $25 to United Way Saint John Kings & Charlotte on that day. Our goal is to raise $12,000 in one day – Giving Tuesday. We hope you will join the movement and help us achieve our goal.
