Because hope is not enough

Here at the United Way, we’re in the final throes of our annual campaign, which creates a lot of hustle and bustle as the team works very hard to get us across the finish line.

Unfortunately, we currently are projecting that we will be $100,000 short of our campaign goal – a goal to help 4,600 people in Saint John, Kings and Charlotte.

Will you help us?

Will you help us deliver on our commitment to building a better community through the hard, and commendable, work done by our funded partners to create brighter futures for the people they serve?

Our campaign wraps on Feb. 28. If you have not had the chance to contribute, please donate online today or by calling us at (506) 658-1212.

We could not build stronger communities and futures without the heartfelt gifts of donors.

If you have given, please let colleagues, family and friends know how they can help by sharing this with them and letting them know why you support the United Way.

For far too many in our community, 2023 is not bringing hope and promise.

They are too worried about getting enough to eat for themselves and their families. They are anxious about being able to find a job, escaping an abusive relationship or about finding a way to free themselves from the insidious trap of poverty.

The need has never been greater in our communities, with the rising cost and dwindling supply of housing, with the escalation of food and fuel prices, and so many other inflationary and pandemic pressures.

Please help us help them.

Sincerely,

Alexya Heelis
