Mariner and Thandi have partnered on a unique – and delicious – idea to raise up to $10,000 for United Way. And you are encouraged to take part!
The Food-Tech Fusion Fundraiser launched June 15, inviting people to come by Thandi at 33 Canterbury St. and order up a new and innovative salad named for Mariner co-founder Gerry Pond.
“Gerry’s Salad is elevated with a tantalizing addition of crispy tempura calamari, offering a balanced fusion of flavors and textures. Crisp romaine lettuce leaves are generously coated with our creamy Caesar dressing, complemented by shaved Parmesan cheese, garden fresh tomatoes, and house-made croutons for that perfect crunch,” say Ken and Holly Singh, co-owners of Thandi.
A portion of the proceeds from every salad purchased will be donated to United Way Saint John Kings & Charlotte, with Mariner pledging to match this while aiming to raise $10,000 in all.
To amplify the reach and impact, we’re encouraging people to share their experiences on social media. By using the hashtags #ImagineADifference #LocalLove and tagging Mariner, Thandi and United Way Saint John, Kings & Charlotte, salad fans can showcase their support and inspire others to join the movement!
