Congratulations to our 19 funded partners

To Chelsie Nightingale, the money her organization will receive from United Way this year represents a remarkable difference to her organization and the people it serves.

And Chelsie, executive director of the Multicultural Association of Sussex, couldn’t be more thrilled. The funding will help support language training for newcomers.

“Language is the cornerstone to settlement. It not only helps newcomers to achieve employment, but it is an important component to being an active member of a community, building relationships and achieving overall well-being,” she says. “United Way funding will fill the gap in accessing language services in Kings County and creating a stronger community for all.”

The association is one of 19 organizations that will collectively be receiving $1.08 million in funding from United Way this year as funded partners. The association is one of two new funded partners for 2022, joining Dial A Ride Fundy Regional Transportation as another first-time recipient.
