Young Carter wrestles with ADHD and severe anxiety, along with self-esteem issues and a fear of failure.
Then he was introduced to Rising Stars Basketball offered by BGC Greater Saint John.
It transformed him. The game of hoops with other youth helped him focus, get exercise and have a sense of belonging. And instead of feeling like a failure, he finally feels like he’s part of a team and a winning one at that.
He can’t wait to start the next season.
