Heather would often become angry or agitated in stressful situations, like when she had to navigate parental visits for the grandchildren in her custody.
Especially so with her grandson, whose father struggled with addiction. She wanted to support a healthy relationship between the two while protecting the boy. And that’s often when she would get angry.
Then she tried the Bee Me Kidz Parents Group, a Saturday morning program where parents are free to share ideas, stories and parenting tips, and listen to guest speakers about topics ranging from free local resources to health and wellness.
At the group, Heather learned how to solve problems while keeping her emotions under control.
“Thanks to this program,” she says, “I can handle life’s problems with confidence.”
