In searching out options for her future, Madalynn turned to the Saint John Learning Exchange.
From the moment the young mother became involved with the Learning Exchange, she felt welcome – everyone there was so supportive and understanding.
She didn’t feel the daily pressure that weighed on her in her traditional high school. As a mom, she found the flexibility of the schedule at the Learning Exchange tremendously beneficial. She felt like it was exactly what she needed.
Thanks to the Learning Exchange and her own dedication, she earned her high school diploma and began looking at the next steps in building a better future.
She explored the welding program at the New Brunswick Community College. It seemed like a great fit – growing up, family members worked in the trades. She loves hands-on work, and is good at it.
So she enrolled, and hasn’t looked back – using all the skills she learned at the Learning Exchange at college every day.
