I’m delighted to share with you that the chair for this year’s United Way campaign is Ryan Mitchell, President and CEO of Saint John Energy.
Ryan brings his boundless energy and his passion for community building to the role. We couldn’t be more pleased to have him lead our campaign.
“I’ve become increasingly impressed with the work the United Way does in Saint John, Kings and Charlotte,” Ryan says.
“The breadth and depth of the impact that they are making in our communities, in building brighter futures for our most vulnerable and in strengthening nonprofit organizations, is inspiring,” he says.
We’re inspired to have such a strong and respected leader in our community step up for this important volunteer role on behalf of United Way.
Ryan grew up in Charlotte County and has worked most of his career in Saint John. He’s been with Saint John Energy for more than eight years, and CEO for the last two years.
Over the years, Ryan has supported us in various ways, including serving on our campaign cabinet. If you know Ryan, you have witnessed not only his keen interest in others but his involvement in a number of causes and organizations, all with an eye to making our region stronger.
Notably, throughout its history, Saint John Energy and its employees have been very strong supporters of United Way. Coincidentally, this year Saint John Energy has earned the number 1 spot for corporate giving to last year’s campaign!
For more on Ryan’s appointment, see our news release. Please help me congratulate and thank Ryan.
And if you are inspired to give to our campaign, you can make a donation by going online or by calling us at (506) 658-1212.
