Our campaign kickoff on Sept. 21 was a resounding success – a true celebration of community.
More than 500 people joined us at the Delta in Saint John to mark the official beginning of our fundraising efforts for the year – all in support of organizations to help those in our communities who need it most.
In front of that sell-out crowd, we were able to share some heartfelt stories of the impact United Way is making thanks to donors like you.
We were able to report that, last year, the organizations we supported set more than 140 goals for positive impacts on the people and communities they serve – and more than 85 percent of those goals were met or exceeded.
That’s impact.
This year, we want to keep that positive momentum going and achieve even more.
We were also able to share our own goal: to improve the lives of more than 4,600 individuals in Saint John, Kings and Charlotte.
What do we need in order to do that? We need to raise $1.7 million over the course of the campaign.
We can only do that with the generosity of our supporters – including individuals who give on their own or through workplace campaigns and companies or other organizations who make pledges.
