Quarter Club: ‘It’s an honour to be a part of it’

For Greg Snow and the leadership at Fundy Fence, the Quarter Club proved to be an intriguing option to bolster the power of their corporate giving.

“It is just an honour to be a part of it, to be among a group of highly respected business people who believe, like we do, in the importance of giving back to our communities,” says Greg, vice-president of Fundy Fence.

The Quarter Club, powered by United Way, is a community of inspiring leaders driving a local movement of people using business as a force for good. They know that the  most challenging social problems from Saint John to Sussex to St. Stephen cannot be solved by government and non-profits alone.

The Quarter Club launched in 2019 and today has more than 15 members, who each invest $2500 per year for five years.

Through the Quarter Club, members can not only magnify the impact of their corporate giving but they can meet with the organizations that benefit from their donations and see the difference that their support is making in Saint John and beyond.

Quarter Club members work toward a stronger community where children and youth are safe and successful, families thrive, and our neighbours have dignity and purpose. By harnessing the power of the club, members use profits and growth as a means to a greater end: positive impact for their business, employees and community.

For Fundy Fence, donating through the Quarter Club and the United Way is a way to ensure their support touches as many people as possible – people who are in the greatest need across our communities.

“Now more than ever, people need help. Every year, the need is greater and greater. Need touches people all around us. It’s sad but true,” Greg says. “We’re happy to help. We’ve always believed in the United Way.”

As part of our 2022 campaign, we want to grow the Quarter Club by at least five members.

Any individual or organization that is interested in joining the Quarter Club or finding out more about it should contact United Way Resource Development Manager Jo-Anne Renton at joanne@unitedwaysaintjohn.com or call us at (506) 658-1212.
